JOB TITLE: Domestic Violence Social Care Worker
REPORTS TO: Manager, Cuanlee
LOCATION: Bessborough Apartments, Bessboro Rd. Blackrock and Cuanlee
Refuge, Kyrls Quay, Cork City
TERMS: This post is based on a * hour week.
SALARY: The salary will be commensurate with experience and will be
based on the HSE Social Care Worker Scale **Apply on the

PROBATION: 6 month probationary period applies.
COMMENCEMENT: December *
REQUIREMENTS: A full drivers licence is a requirement of this post.
This post will be worked over 5 days between Monday and Saturday. The
working hours will vary and flexibility will be required. However the
working hours will be between 9am and 8pm. Premium payments are in
operation for unsocial hours.
THE ORGANISATION
Cuanlee CLG is a Domestic Abuse Support Agency working with women and
children who are or have been affected by domestic violence, abuse and
coercive control. It provides 6 crisis self-contained units in the
refuge, 5 self -contained apartments in the Bessborough Centre,
outreach community based supports and childcare supports. Cuanlee has
expanded its service to meet the increased demand for accommodation,
advocacy, court accompaniment and emotional support.
As a specialist domestic abuse service, the staff team provide a range
of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis responses, that support women
who wish to move on and live independently, free from violence, abuse
and coercive control. Our professional staff team are available to
support, empower and safeguard the rights of women and children during
their stay. The organisation has a resilient, flexible, creative and
highly skilled frontline staff team to deal with the varied and often
complex needs that families’ present with.
